Dark bleatings, my lovely tribe! I hope you’re all feeling spooky out there, because the UK Ghost Story Festival is almost upon us, and it is set to be a truly amazing, week-long spectacular of online and in-person events. If you’re new to it, be sure to check it out because for fans of the ghostier side of reading and writing horror, this is one of the greatest events to participate in.
So, what is it?
It’s a week of amazing opportunities to get your teeth into the particulars of ghost stories. You can buy a pass for the whole week, a single day, even just single events – it’s very flexible and the amount you want to participate is totally up to you. There will be panel discussions, author interviews, ghostly walks, and a whole host of writing tutorials – everything from how to create a gothic atmosphere, to how to structure a ghost story. And, oh my gosh, the line-up this year…..
So, who’s involved?
Who isn’t involved? That’s the real question! The contributing authors and speakers are unbelievable this year – a truly top-notch collection of spooky folk! The people include the likes of Tracy Fahey, Kit Whitfield, Laura Purcell, Emilia Hart, Amy Jeffs, Andrew Michael Hurley, and a tonne more. I am particularly excited for Laura Purcell’s participation, personally. She’s the author of ‘The Silent Companions’ – my FAVOURITE ghostly novel of all time.

Did you say something about 2 free passes?
Why, yes I did! The ever-generous and fabulous Alex Davis (you might know him from organising… well… basically everything) has teamed up with UK Ghost Story Festival to give 2 lucky winners online passes to this glorious event! Over to you, Alex…
