Satori will do anything for Star except let her go. When she ends their relationship, he summons a demon to win her back, but the demon, Lilith, has other plans. When Star falls for Lilith, she discovers the depths of her own depravity, and they are drawn into a magical and violent struggle for survival.
Horror fantasy, with bisexual protagonists and erotic elements – Clive Barker’s Imajica meets Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights, set in the Gothic subculture in Britain.
Dark bleatings, my magical tribe. Today I’m taking a look at Starblood, a novel about Steve, a guy who just can’t let his girlfriend go. A break up won’t stop him either, and he summons a demon in the hopes it will somehow do his bidding and get her back. Unfortunately for him, the demon that turns up is Lilith, and she couldn’t be less interested in bowing to his demands. She has plans of her own.
I initially mistook this as a YA novel but swiftly discovered quite early on that it most certainly is not. lol. The violence is quite… er… violent. Rather graphic, you might say. So graphic that I do recommend checking the trigger warnings that the author kindly placed at the front of the book before you dive in.

Steve and his ex, Sarah, do reunite but it’s not quite what Steve was picturing, and Sarah finds that she surprises herself the further into his drama she dives. And let’s not forget that Lilith has her own story here too – it is deliciously blasphemous, actually, and I’d imagine it might piss off a few people that take their Bible to heart. But that’s the joy of fiction for you, mwahahahaha.
If you enjoy stories of sexual exploration, heinous violence, and power dynamics, you’ll probably love this! If you’d like to check out the book or the author, there are some links below for you:
