New Magazine from Horrorsmith Publishing

Dark bleatings, my lovely tribe! I’m super excited because Horrorsmith Publishing is launching a new magazine, and from what I can see on the cover, the first issue is coming out of the gate strong.

A little bit about Horrorsmith Publishing…

This press was founded by the absolutely wonderful Lyndsey Smith some years ago (I say “some” because I don’t know exactly when!), and it has grown. A browse on their website will tell you that they have 4 imprints; Fear Forge, Thrill Forge, Teen Forge, and Spiced Forge – all of which offer different types of fiction. At this point, I have no idea how many books they’ve put out, but I do know that I’ve read and enjoyed several of them. As well as books, Horrorsmith also offers merch! They have cool shirts, earrings, and wax melts.

It’s safe to say they’re pretty well known in the indie horror spaces, not least because of Lyndsey’s enthusiastic promotion of her own products, and also the work of others. On social media, you can quite often find her talking about books she’s read, and offering help to new authors. And now….she’s giving us this…

You might notice Happy Goat Horror there on the cover – I was delighted and surprised to recently hear from Lyndsey that she was not only launching this magazine, but featuring us in the first issue. I don’t know what we’ve done to deserve such a spotlight, but I’m very excited to read it! I wanted to get that out of the way before going on to say….

…Owen freaking King. She got Owen King. I don’t know if you’ve ever tried, but I can personally attest to the fact that it is extremely difficult to get anyone in the King family for a quote or an interview or anything else. I’m sure they have some sort of forcefield around them. I have so far tried and failed to make contact with Stephen (obviously), Tabitha, Joe Hill, and Owen, all of whom I’m dying to interview on my YT channel. I can’t wait to see what the Owen King feature is!

‘Unmasking A.I. in Literature’, ‘Terrify Your Tablet’, Jon Cohn…this seems like an absolute belter of a first issue (or second, or tenth issue, for that matter). That new platform that’s mentioned on the bottom right there? I have a feeling I know what that is, and I have a little feature on that one myself coming on the weekend 😀

Congratulations to Lyndsey and the gang at Horrorsmith Publishing on the imminent release of what I’m sure is going to be a fantastic read.
